This photo was
sent to us by Wally Smith RRT, equipment coordinator for the
Respiratory Care Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital in
Allentown PA. It shows a DHD Acapella® Vibratory
Expiratory Positive Pressure device interfaced to a filter
which is in turn attached to the Multi-Function Port filter of the Medicator Maximizer Plus, Cat
#AM-602.

In this
configuration, a blue 22 mm ID X 22 mm ID adapter has been
used to mate the Acapella® to the end of the filter. The
filter protects the Acapella® from receiving expiratory aerosol
deposition. The same adapter could also be used to
attach the Acapella® directly to the Medicator
Multi-Function Port in the
event that a filter was not necessary.
